The term "YAN" has its origins in Chinese literature, referring to the ancient hand-carved ink stones that were used to rub the ink stick in water to obtain liquid Chinese ink. PRO-YAN glass stones, made of corundum, are manufactured using a new, environmentally friendly room temperature consolidation process. Corundum is a finer and softer material than traditional ceramic stones, allowing the knife to glide more easily over the surface. The abrasive concentration is also higher, which speeds up the sharpening process.

This product offers time savings and improved efficiency: no water immersion is required, saving up to 15 minutes, and resharpening takes only 5 minutes, a time reduction of 80%!
