The Haiku Blue Carbon series occupies an intermediate position between the Haiku Kurouchi range and the Ryoma Sakamoto range. It uses the same type of steel as the Kurouchi range, but its design involves several craftsmen rather than one dedicated to each item.
The knives in this series have a burnt chestnut handle, with a shinobi ("D shape") suitable for right-handers. Left-handed people can turn to the Kurouchi range which is ambidextrous. The handles are cemented (closed).
These knives are made in Sakai and the current range includes four commonly used models.
